STEAM

Englewood Schools STEAM education is offered at all schools to all students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

What is STEAM?
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Together, these subjects form an intentional learning approach that teaches students more than just subject matter. STEAM education fosters an inclusive learning environment where all students are able to engage and contribute.

As early as Pre-Kindergarten, STEAM education in Englewood Schools helps students to build both technical and creative skills. Students learn how to self-direct, collaborate, problem solve, think critically, and apply their creative skills.

Did you know?
By 2025, the U.S. will have more than 2 million unfilled STEAM jobs because of a lack of highly skilled candidates.* The number of roles requirement STEAM expertise is growing at a rate that exceeds the current workforce capacity. STEAM education prepares Englewood Schools students to work in fields that are poised for growth. Even for students who don’t choose a career in one of the STEAM fields, the skills students gain from a STEAM education can be translated to almost any career.
